What this site collects, and why.

Analytics cookies
Google Analytics only runs if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Until then no analytics code loads and no cookies are set. It counts visits and which pages are read; nothing is used for advertising. Change your mind any time with Cookie settings; rejecting deletes the analytics cookies.
Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
The contact form
What you send (name, email, message and the service you picked) is stored so I can reply, and emailed to me. It's kept until I delete it. Your IP address is not stored.
The email list
Signing up stores your email address, where you signed up, when, and the exact sentence you agreed to. It's used only to email you about new projects and articles, and isn't shared or sold. Unsubscribe from any email, or ask me to delete it completely.
Spam protection
The forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which loads only when you start filling one in. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to it.
Where it's kept
Form submissions are stored on Google Cloud in London. Contact notifications pass through my email provider. You can complain to the ICO if you think I've handled your data badly.
